When it was released and watched by millions of viewers in 1979 it was deemed one of the scariest and most terrifying movies of all time. People who have yet to see this film should definately prepare themselves for tense action.
The film begins where the crew of the Nostromo cargo freighter are on their way home to earth while enjoying hypersleep until they arrive but are awoken by the ships somputer AI 'Mother' to investigate a distress call that she has encountered only it is not a distress call, it is a warning beacon for those who recieve it to stay away. The crew investigate and unfortunately get rolled into a terrfifying creature who kills on site and is generally unpleasant. Now Lieutenant Ripley and her crew are on the run and against time to hunt down this Alien being before there is no crew left. With chilling and tense action scenes and a well made plot Alien is still a great film for anyone to watch even though it is 24 years after it was made.
Dont doubt Ridley Scott people, his film making talent is astonishing
